Dr Anthony Tsang

Interests

Along the major research interest of Dr Blouet's group, my current research focus involves characterising amino acid sensing metabolic neural circuits, both anatomically and functionally.

However, during my postgraduate studies, I received solid training in the fields of neurodegeneration and circadian rhythm. Molecular and physiological signalling pathways involved in energy metabolism, circadian rhythm and neural disorders are now known to be extensively intertwined. I set my long-term research goal to elucidate the role of life-style factors such as sleep hygiene or preferences and patterns of diet in affecting the general well-being of an individual with the focus on CNS functionality.
