Together with my supervisor Dennis Chan we are interested in the investigation of early symptoms during the development of Alzheimer's disease (AD) in the Entorhinal cortex (EC) and hippocampus. My work will address this question by using an animal model of AD.

I am located in the lab of Nobel Laureate Professor John O’Keefe at UCL where I will perform studies addressing the function of EC grid cells and hippocampal place cells and their behavioural correlates in an AD mouse model.

In addition we aim to have a deeper view into cellular functions and thereby reveal possible pathological changes with in vivo multiphoton calcium imaging in the same animals.
