Research Theme

Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience

Interests

I am interested in the study of neurodegenerative diseases such as Huntington´s disease that are associated with the formation of intracellular protein aggregates.

My research focuses on exploring the molecular mechanisms that cells employ to prevent the accumulation of these aggregates. These mechanisms include the regulation of protein degradation systems such as autophagy or prevention of protein misfolding by molecular chaperones.
