Create a new account with Cambridge Neuroscience

Registration allows eligible researchers to create a research profile in our searchable Directory - to do this you must be a member of the University of Cambridge or an affiliated institute with an interest in Neuroscience and its related disciplines.

Email newsletter: even if you're not eligible to be a member of Cambridge Neuroscience, you may still register with us in order to receive our regular e-mail newsletter.

Please read the eligibility criteria to see if you qualify for full membership and a profile in the Directory.

Register now

Step 1: Choose a username and password.

Step 2: Provide the address of an email account to which you have access.

Step 3: Click on 'Create account'. You will shortly receive an email.

Step 4: Respond to the email as instructed therein to activate your account.

If you are a secretary or administrator submitting a profile for somebody else, please read the notes below first.

Account details

Username You will use your username to log in to edit your profile, and it will also appear in the URL of your profile page.
For those at the University of Cambridge: we suggest using your CRSID (the part before @cam in your email address) as your username.
No spaces are allowed. Long or frivolous usernames are discouraged.
Good examples: abc21, jbsmith, xyz1001

Password This must be at least six characters long. We recommend you choose a password distinct from that on your Raven account, or indeed any other account.

Email address We need to verify your email address because it is the only way we can contact you. You will have an opportunity later to choose any email address for your profile page, if you wish to be publicly contactable in this way.
The email address you supply here will only be used in connection with your account, and will never appear on the website.

Submitting on somebody else's behalf

If you are a secretary or an administrator submitting a profile for someone else, please note that you will need to create a separate account for each person for whom you would like to submit a profile.

Please follow these four steps.

Step 1: Choose a unique username and password for the person whose profile you are submitting (we would suggest you use their CRSID)

Step 2: Enter YOUR OWN email address

Step 3: Click on 'Create account'. You will shortly receive an email.

Step 4: Respond to the email as instructed therein to activate the person's account.

Please note that all accounts that are created by a third person will be verified to ensure that permission has been given by the person concerned for their profile to be submitted.
